Our monthly series Meet the Edcite Team continues! Each month we feature a different member of our team by asking them a set of questions.
This month we are featuring our Content Intern, Ronak Ramchandran. Read on to meet Ronak!
Where do you go to school? What are you studying?
I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
What brought you to Edcite?
I was looking to intern and wanted to use my free time more productively. Edcite seemed to be the perfect fit for me, and I enjoy interning here.

Tell us about what you’ve been working on during your internship.
I have been working on creating educational content for the website in the form of assignments and tests. I have also been proofreading and checking previous assignments

Which teacher in school had the most impact on you and why?
My biology teacher in 10th standard was a great source of inspiration for me as well as the other students. Her name was Ms. Parvathy and she always stressed personal development. She would make sure that we all spoke with confidence and had perfect posture. She would often tell us to follow our dreams and not be just another brick in the wall. Her classes and teaching stay with me even today.
Do you have any advice for teachers about how students want to learn today?
A passionate teacher who loves teaching his/her subject can make a world of difference in the classroom. The teacher’s interest will inevitably rub off on the students and they will begin to learn more out of their own will than out of force or obligation.
What is your favorite movie or book? Why?
My favorite movie is Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Devdas. I love everything about this movie. The plot is different and set in a different timeline which makes things more interesting. The music and dialogue are very beautiful and poetic. All this along with exquisite set design and cinematography makes for a unique and unforgettable movie experience.
Do you have a favorite quote?
My favorite quote, which has stayed with me all my life, is “live and let live.” I feel like this quote is deceptively simple and if internalized can make life more simple and peaceful for the individual and the people around.
Name three things you can’t live without.
Music (I play the veena, a stringed instrument), family and home-cooked food.
